Lemon tree help

I’m new to gardening and have finally got my lemon trees producing fruit. Can anyone help me with what these black things are on my mini eureka lemon tree please. I don’t have them on my Meyer or sunrise lime tree. How do I easily get rid of them please.

Also on a side note, how do I know when my lemons are ready to pick?
