Can I put Brisbane Wattle tube stock directly in the ground at this time of year?

I’m in the Darling Downs region in QLD, soil is black clay. Normally I would not hesitate to put tube stock straight in the ground but I’ve not planted these wattles before, and we’re coming into winter soon. I understand they’re frost tolerant, but could they handle a frost at such a young age if we get one (possibly) in a few weeks? Normally we don’t get frosts here until after the Solstice but sometimes a light one creeps in.
