7 year old has shown an interest in gardening

My almost 7 year old struggles at school. He has low self confidence mainly due to his poor gross and fine motor skills and as school progresses, he is realising he is struggling compared to his peers. The only things he has spoken passionately about with interest is video games and gardening. Neither his father or I have green fingers at all but I am very keen to support this interest. We have managed to grow strawberries and tomato’s in grow bags in the past and I have only one thriving house plant. My brother in law let us flowers from seed/bulb in his beds garden so that is our latest project, we rent so not an option to dig around our own garden. I wondered if anyone had any suggestions of books for kids age appropriate or programmes we could watch together to learn more. Any other suggestions apart from doing?
