1500 ladybugs sent to me for free – what do I do with them?? – Reddit Post

I recently ordered some beneficial pests for my indie tropical plants and the place I got them from sent me free ladybugs. 1500 of them. I bought a terrarium for them and I’m giving them fruit and a wet paper towel to drink from… I’m wondering if it’s too late in the season to release them outside? I’m in the PNW, it’s 60s during the day, mid 40s overnight.

I didn’t ask for these little ones and I don’t want them to die but I’m not sure I can find enough info on them to keep them alive over the winter!
